Did you know how to live before you die? usually its our grand parents or elders who keeps telling us how to keep your chin up always, how to be good and do good, be strong, be confident, be brave to do right thing and so on. That’s not enough, considering this competitive world let’s hear it from a successful master who lived before he died.

o, a man who was chased out from his own company Apple and still his head was held high and he came up with another company Pixar (including NeXt which was then bought by Apple brought him back) cracking up the blockbuster making success.

When you listen to the 3 stories he shares during this commencement speech below, you would save it in your favorite list to watch it again and again. I know you must be thinking that I’m late to post this. However it’s always that one video which pumps your heart rate and instigates your adrenaline to reach your goal (hope you have a goal to hit). You can be like him, better than him in fact.

  1. I don’t mean any offence but I didn’t like anything about Steve Jobs. I think you can live life beautifully with kindness, compassion and no great achievement. I stopped by a central American gardener in our main square yesterday and told him his arrangement was “hermosa”. His old face lit up, with his sore aching bones, he stood up said, “Gracias”. Now that is how you live before you die.

  2. Indeed, I’ve seen this video (So did other readers of yours, I’m sure 😉 ) and like you, I’ve been inspired and motivated by him.

Steve Jobs is actually one of the inspiration that I had for one of my podcast episodes where I shared a trick on how to find motivation and inspiration by using “Death”. Perhaps you’d be interested to check it out and who knows, you might get some new ideas from it and you can share it with your readers and hopefully, me too lol! I’d love to get some fresh new ideas for the show 😀 If that happens, you’d definitely be mentioned and/or featured on it too, naturally!

Regardless, I’d definitely love to hear what you have to say about it so do let me know if you got time to listen to the one episode which is inspired by Jobs 🙂

The show is also on iTunes too (You can download the episodes for free!) so if you are actually using an iPhone, iPad or Mac, you can check it out on the iTunes store! (Search PBIY on iTunes)

Regardless, hope you’re having a nice day bud!

    Your pal,
    Benjamin

  3. Reblogged this on Belle Papillon 24/7 and commented:
I went to a “Celebration of Life” of a friend at the start of the year. Her daughter read excerpts from her diary. One of the things that struck me was when she wrote “Everybody dies but not everybody lives.”
We all know that but we don’t really pay attention. We are so used to multitasking and juggling things everyday… it seems the 24 hours we have is not enough. We don’t have time to nurture our relationships, to give back to community or even for ourselves. Our excuse? We have bills to pay! It goes on and on and on.

While I was listening to the eulogy, I had an epiphany. By the time I left the chapel I made a promise to myself that I’ll make a conscious decision to live a “meaningful life” and make an extra effort to do stuff that scares me… I want to feel my spirit shake. 🙂

Steve Jobs is inspirational, no denying it but Bill Gates (and his wife) is someone I’d love to emulate. (Besides Oprah.) They live their life committed to service to humanity. And that’s what living is all about… in my book at least 🙂

    • You added more meaning and value to this post Belle! I love that when you mentioned that you would make an extra effort to do stuff that scares you.. that’s first class thought. Taking more risks in life will make you more worthy.

I like Steve Jobs for many reasons, one of that is his eyes for creative details. He knows how not to complicate things but keep it simple yet worthy and elegant. I am not much familiar about Bill Gates except that I have about him as a humble person. I am sure he must be having more qualities. I have high regards for Oprah and she is certainly a feather on the hat called humanity.
